Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles
Weekly therapy time courtesy of Kmama at The Daily Dribbles.

To the scale. We have a love/hate relationship. Right now I hate you. Very much. Let’s start loving each other again. Thank you very much.

scale

To Fibromyalgia. Now is not the time to cripple my body so that I can not stand up straight. Pain relievers need to work right now. Muscles need to function. I am trying to love my scale again. Thank you very much.

Fibromyalgia1

To Rocco. I will walk you to help aid in my weight loss. But for the love of all that is good and holy- do not pull me behind you. My pain wracked body cannot handle it. Thank you very much.

To my love of sugar, carbs, and processed food. Please, please, please start tasting repulsive. It is so hard to resist you and oh how I need to do just that- resist. Thank you very much.

junkfoodjunky

To swimsuit season. Can you please be kind to me during Spring Break? Spring Break is supposed to be a happy, let’s have fun time. Not a depressing, I am so fat and pasty white time. Thank you very much.

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It’s Thursday! Make sure to hop on over to Kmama’s at The Daily Dribbles and link up your own therapy for this week.

To the school calendar that made me think I picked up 3 days of subbing during standardized testing so that my days would be e.a.s.y. Turns out only one of those days applied to the high school. I’m going to work anyways, but I’m not happy about it. Thank you very much.

To the box of cell phones that were confiscated during testing. My how times have changed since I was in high school when cell phones didn’t even exist yet. I officially feel old. Thank you very much.

cell phonesBy the way- their phones are much cooler than these. Much cooler.

To my wardrobe that does not contain 3 consecutive days of work clothes. You are making my life difficult. Thank you very much.

To the TV in the playroom that has decided to stop working. My children are going through withdrawals. Thank you very much.

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It’s Thursday, and that means I save money on therapy by linking up with Kmama at The Daily Dribbles. Be sure to click on over to her house and link up your own Thank You Very Much post!

To the incredibly busy day I had yesterday. It was supposed to be a day off for fun and good times. Instead I feel exhausted and worn out. Thank you very much.

To the weather that can’t decide if it is winter or spring. I froze my patootie off at Josh’s baseball game yesterday. Thank you very much.

winter-spring

To my son, whom shall remain nameless. Jakob. I’m sorry I flipped out when we thought you lost your brand new baseball glove. But for heaven’s sake- those things are expensive and if you haven’t noticed we do not have a money tree in the backyard. Thank you very much.

To my calendar. We don’t need to be this busy. Stop filling up with activities and things to do. Thank you very much.

To American Idol. 3 days a week with 2 of those 3 days being 2 hour shows is ridiculous. Let’s cut to the chase and just start with the Top 10, shall we? Thank you very much.

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It's that time. Time for my weekly therapy courtesy of Kmama at The Daily Dribbles. After you comment on how witty, beautiful, and downright hilarious I am be sure to click on over there and link up your own thank you's!

To the congestion that has decided to take up residence in my chest. I don't like it when you make it feel as though Nolan is sitting on my chest and I can't breathe. Thank you very much.

To the karma that bit me in the butt when I was concerned that maybe Jakob didn't have any friends and then proceeded to entertain them one by one on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday over the long weekend. Yes, I worry about my little Aspie too much but there is no need to throw it in my face. Thank you very much.

To the egg donor who manages to continue to screw with her kids lives even as they become young men. One day karma will come to bite you in the butt. Thank you very much.

To the Olympics that for some reason finds it necessary to stay on television until 11pm at night- 30 minutes after my bedtime. Seriously, you are making me exhausted while I stay up past my bedtime to watch these amazing athletes. Thank you very much.

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It's time for my weekly therapy courtesy of Kmama at The Daily Dribbles. Be sure to write your own sarcastic thank you post and link up with Kmama. Um...after you read and comment on my fascinating thank you's of course.

To the 1 hour and 40 minute break I had during subbing- which is great, but seemed to stretch on endlessly and made me want to go home. It would have been nice if some of the conference time was at the end of the day so I could leave early. Thank you very much.

To the medical bills that sucked 1/2 of my tax return to your payments. I refuse to give you all of it- so some of you can just sit and collect more dust. Thank you very much.

To the two companies who would not give me a discount on my medical bills if I paid the balance in full. You are now on my I-don't-like-you-very-much list. Thank you very much.

To the students who continued to talk and be disruptive even after numerous requests to quiet down. I am totally the sub who tattles on you to the teacher. Thank you very much.

To Jakob who schooled me on playing catch in the backyard. There is no reason to throw bullets at me- your poor mom is not a ball player. Thank you very much.

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It's time for my weekly therapy! Thank goodness for Thursdays or I just might implode from the activities of self-absorbed stupid people. Make sure to click on over to Kmama's at The Daily Dribbles and link up your own Thank You post!

To the 18 wheeler who felt it necessary to block my exit out of my street and force me to have to turn around and exit my neighborhood another way. Thank you very much.

To the construction guy who thought it was OK to stop, park, and get out of his truck in the middle of the road and walk away as if the cars behind him meant nothing. Thank you very much.

To the lady in Walmart who was in such a hurry that she just had to cut in front of me and make me wait while she tried to squeeze her cart through an area where it just didn't fit. And then proceed to look surprised by the stink eye I gave her. Thank you very much.

To the old lady in Walmart who turned the corner into my aisle so slowly that I had to stand and wait for her to get out of the way but she was to enamored with Nolan sitting in the back of the cart reading a cereal box that all she could do was stare. And then proceed to also look surprised by the stink eye I gave her. Thank you very much. (I am normally much more patient with elderly people, but she was the straw that broke the camel's back on this particular day. All of my gripes in this post happened within a 30 minute time span.)

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It's Thursday and that means it's time for Thank You Very Much hosted by the one and only Kmama at The Daily Dribbles!

To the grocery store that insists on changing its layout and product placement every six months and in turn confusing me all to heck. Thank you very much.

To my family that has relegated me to a short order cook. Thank you very much.

To my Midas touch that does not turn everything to gold but manages to break every computer that I touch. Thank you very much.

To Nolan's tuition that insists on being due at the same time as the mortgage payment on the 1st of the month even though I don't get paid until the 15th. Thank you very much.

To the "other" blog that claims they copied Jimmy Fallon's thank you very much letters and not Kmama's blog carnival. Um...yeah, I don't really believe you. Thank you very much.

Be sure to write up your own form of therapy and link up with Kmama today! We can't let that "other" blog win. (And we all know just how competitive I really am.)

*I am guest posting today over at Undercover Mother. Hop on over there to see what I have to say (it just may be another substitute teaching story *wink wink*) and see the cutest little boys with the sweetest spirit.

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

I am linking up today for my weekly therapy at The Daily Dribbles. Once you laugh uproariously at my misfortune make sure to clickity click on over to Kmama's and link up for your own free therapy.

To the hot water heater who decided that I did not need a hot shower when I was suffering from a stress headache. Thank you very much.

To the water pressure that decided it would not blow with its usual force while the hot water was taking a hiatus and forcing me to stand in the cold water for a cruel amount of time. Thank you very much.

To the son *cough cough Nathan cough* who decided he needed to take an extra long shower at night when he normally showers in the morning and rendering the hot water heater depleted of its resources. Thank you very much.

To my bank account that just won't cut me a break. Thank you very much.

To the battery on my laptop that won't hold its charge. You aggravate me way too much. Thank you very much.

To the weeds in my yard that don't ever die even when the grass goes dormant and make my yard need attending to in the winter time when I am supposed to have a break from it. Thank you very much.

To Chris who decided to "help" me with the laundry and washed and dried one of my sweaters for work and in turn shrunk it beyond repair. I have sooo many "work" clothes since I've been a SAHM for the last 8 years. Thank you very much.

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

To my bank account which demands more money than I can give. Thank you very much.

To the power supply that I finally broke down and ordered for my laptop. I waited patiently for you to arrive and when you didn't fit in the stinkin' battery like you were supposed to I thought my head might explode.
Thank you very much.

To my 8 year old who is going through another growth spurt and needs more sleep to keep up with the hard work of growing at super speed but doesn't realize that he needs that sleep and chooses instead to be cranky and whiny when he gets home from school. Thank you very much.

To the growth spurt that my 8 year old is once again enjoying. You now have my 2nd grader wearing a size 5 shoe but he'll have to settle for 4.5 because I didn't realize that you were going to make my son's feet grow an entire size in 4 months. Thank you very much.

To Rocco who has to stay in the garage with a portable heater during these frigid temperatures overnight but then scratches on the door to let us know he needs to go outside at random times during the night. Stop it! I need my sleep. Thank you very much.

To the "friend" who solved my question that I put on my blog last Friday without me having to do a thing. The True Story Tuesday post is coming "friend", just give me time. Thank you very much.

Be sure to hop on over to Kmama's house at The Daily Dribbles to read more free therapy and link up your own while you're there!

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It's Thursday and that means it's time for my weekly therapy in the form of sarcasm. My very favorite kind of therapy by the way. I think I was born to be sarcastic...if that's possible. Be sure to check out Kmama at the Daily Dribbles and read more Thank You Very Much posts. She has somehow hooked herself up with some very popular bloggers and is gaining followers by leaps and bounds. But I'm not jealous or anything...*sneer*

To the counselors who did not stretch out their presentation to last the entire class period and making me feel a tad bit guilty for giving the students a lot of free time. Thank you very much.

To the sub jobs which seriously inhibited my blogging career this week. Thank you very much.

To the mango fruit smoothie that calls my name in the morning until I am able to suck down your sweet goodness. Thank you very much.

To the Spring baseball sign-up form that made me go into a slight panic when I realized how much busier my life will be getting in one month. Thank you very much.

To the freakin' power supply to my computer that doesn't fit just right and fails to charge my laptop more often then giving me a full green battery. I hate you with a passion. Thank you very much.

To the "other" blog that I am in a private contest with every Friday because she too hosts a letter writing carnival and has been beating me the last couple of weeks and sending me into an all out depression about my lack of popularity. 'Cause I have an insatiable need to be popular. Thank you very much.

*Deep breath* I feel better now. But my number of validations has dropped as of late and I'm kinda going into a funk. Can you help me? Yes, I am shameless when asking for new followers AND comments AND link-ups on Fridays. But, this blog- it's my lifeline...can you blame me?

Thank You Very Much- Vacation Style

The Daily Dribbles

It's Thursday and time for my weekly therapy session otherwise known as Thank You Very Much hosted by Kmama at The Daily Dribbles. After reading my enthralling, can't stop reading until you've finished the very last word thank you's, make sure to hop on over to Kmama's house and link up your own Thank You Very Much!

To Jakob for twisting his ankle two days before we were to leave on vacation to New Mexico and bringing back vivid images of a broken ankle hours before we were to leave for a trip to the coast last summer. Thank you very much.

(FYI- This is a picture of Jakob's broken ankle, not his sprained one.)

To Jakob for surviving the sprained ankle but then falling on ice as soon as we arrived in New Mexico and screaming like he broke his hand. Thank you very much.

To Nolan for sliding down a snowy hill and flattening me at the bottom and laughing hysterically as I fall like an Oak in a forest. My fibro body just can't handle that kind of damage. Thank you very much.

(FYI- This is not my tree picture. I stole copied this photo off Google images.)

To the snow that had Nolan crying every single day from the pain it inflicted on his cheeks, lips, and fingers. Thank you very much.

To the looooonnnnngggg car ride home with nothing to look forward to and turning my beautiful children into little hellions that forced Chris and I to yell at them to behave and say things like "don't make me pull this car to the side of the road." Thank you very much.

To the train that stopped on its tracks and moved backwards 5 miles from our home after a 10 hour car ride. Thank you very much.

(FYI- This is not my train picture. I stole copied this photo off Google images.)

To Chris who thought that it was OK to drive like a bat out of hell to try and beat the train to the next crossing so that we could finally get home. My foot ached after trying to push it through the floorboard Fred Flintstone style. Thank you very much.

To the laundry and chores that magically appear after an extended trip away from home. Thank you very much.

(FYI- This is not my laundry. I stole copied this photo off Google images.)

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It's Christmas Eve and I thought I'd better get my therapy in while I can. Seeing as how family gatherings can drive me mad, I need to go in with a healthy frame of mind to start off. Kmama is not having MckLinky today, but feel free to comment on my post anyway!

To the washing machine that went kaput right before we go out of town and need clean clothes. Actually- anytime is a bad time for the washing machine to go kaput. Thank you very much.

To the garage door that decided to run off its track when Chris was returning the repaired washing machine that cost us $125. Did you just need to put icing on the cake? Thank you very much.

To Chris who went against our agreement on not buying each other anything this year forcing me to run out and buy a gift on the eve of Christmas Eve. Thank you very much.

To Rocco who won't quit barking and is becoming the nuisance of the neighborhood. Thank you very much.

To the follower who UNFOLLOWED me 2 days before Christmas. Thank you very much.

Whew! I feel better now. Hopefully I'll be able to go sit amongst family and not want to stab myself in my eye with my dinner fork.

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

To my misunderstanding brain that thought Skinny Chics in Sumo Suits was going to get started on SupahMommy's blog and that also thought she was just too busy to get started this week making me a whole week behind. Thank you very much.

To my ridiculous body that can't handle going through the day without a nap. Thank you very much.

To Jakob's field trip that lasted past my naptime rendering me useless for the rest of the day and had me crawling in bed at 8pm like a child. Thank you very much.

To Jakob who has learned to tie his shoes but now says he can't do it good enough and begging me to do it for him. Thank you very much.

Be sure to read more Thank You Very Much posts at Kmama's

Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It's time for Thank You Very Much. The blog carnival hosted by Kmama at The Daily Dribbles.

To my rheumatologist who is so wonderful for my fibromyalgia but refuses to help out with my thyroid problem and forcing me to go to my endocrinologist when it would be so much easier to just take care of everything all at once. Thank you very much.

To Mountain Cedar season which is causing Jakob to have to start taking steroid nebulizer treatments 2x/day and forcing him to wake up early every morning before school. Also for the incredibly itchy eyes, stuffy nose, and headaches. Thank you very much.

To my temper which causes me much grief and heartache. I am working so hard on not letting you get the best of me, yet you win more times than lose. Thank you very much.

To the paychecks that don't arrive when they should and cause me major stress from watching a hubby work without compensation and make me wonder if the next mortgage payment will be paid, how we will buy the medicine that is needed to survive (literally), and how long the food will last in the house. Thank you very much.

To the Christmas season which I try to play along with so nicely and remember that it is a joyous time and not about material possessions, but just makes me feel awful that there is no money to really relax and enjoy the the month. Thank you very much.

Make sure to hop on over to Kmama's house and link up your own Thank You Very Much post!
