Well said! Now could you please lecture my 15 year old on why she shouldn't WANT to wear those silly things?!? I mean honestly. I choose comfort over everything else, always. You won't even find me in one of those gorgeous evening gowns (not that I would be attending an event where a dress of that magnitude would be required). I'll take comfy jeans and a t-shirt anyday!

THANK YOU!!!!! Melody is only TWO and I constantly come across inappropriate articles of clothing. Seriously, wth!? Why would I put a shirt on my two year old that says brat?! And why would I put my daughter in a miniature version of a shirt that I have hanging in my closet that I wear when I want to show off my boobs. Sheesh!

Great letter! And so true. And also shirts that are three inches too short... because it often seems like the girls that really should not be wearing them are the ones that have them on. And even girls that have nice tummies still should not have them on.

Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest! Can't imagine four, FOUR, 4 boys! I raised my husband's 3. They moved in w/us at ages 7, 10, 12. All grown now, whew! And one has blessed me w/a beautiful grandson. So it truly was all worth it. But wasn't sure there for a while.

I have to agree. And it is not just little girls - it includes teens and young women as well. You would not believe the outfits young adult women wear to job interviews and on the job. It is no wonder so many companies are bring forced to issue multi-chapter dress codes for the work environment.

i don't think the trend of tight, low slung jeans will be going anywhere, anytime soon. as long as the celebutantes are wearing them, companies will continue to make these items for all the wannabe celebs. i used to work in the garment industry and i would cringe when young girls came in, with their bellies hanging out of their shirts, and modeling the low slung jeans around the store. i'm so happy i will only have to worry about my son and the baggy pants trend.

My dtr has been out of the junior clothes since she was about 9 because while they make the jeans too low, they also make the shirts too short. Seriously?? Ass crack hanging out AND the belly showing? And omg, the Muffin top. hehe. that is funny and sooo true. My dtrs muffin top is out there over her skinny jeans often ... gggrrrr. I buy her shirts a little bigger though and if I can see her ass crack, then those jeans DISAPPEAR!

I SOOO agree. Being on the "needs NOT to wear that kind of jean" side is not very pretty when all you can find is low rise, hip huggers that makes a person look 14 months pregnant. NOT good. I have to get the "expensive" jeans so I do not look like I am expecting. *sigh* And don't get me started on the butt crack!
