True Story Tuesday

Life is scary sometimes. And right now my life is downright frightful. I don’t know what I’m going to do or how I’m going to do it. It’s just to much to handle for one person. Does anyone have a one-way plane ticket to…anywhere but here? Anyone?

The reason for my alarmist attitude you ask? Ahem. Admit it- you totally asked.

This. This is my reason.

March 2010

Yes, I have a desk size calendar hanging on my kitchen wall. It’s the only thing that works.

Every flower on my calendar for the month of March represents a place that I, my children, or my husband need to be at a certain time. Some flowers have two activities hiding beneath them.

So what’s the scary part you ask? Yes, I hear your voices in my head. The scary part is that it is only March 9th and I do not have the Spring baseball schedule for Jakob or Nolan yet and I do not have my work schedule on there seeing as how I pick up jobs on a day to day basis.

So- about that plane ticket….

I am linking up today with Rachel and Mr. Daddy at Once Upon a Miracle.

39 Validations To Make Me Feel Worthy:

It about broke my heart to see you had ZERO validations to make you feel worthy on this post! :) Funny how we want to have things to do but it's overwhelming when the activities start to roll! Hope you can multi-task and not short circuit while you are! Perhaps you should schedule a pedicure on one of those free days!

your calendar is insanity at its finest ...I am sorry =(

Yikes girl...you are a busy woman.

I just have one question for you...

What are you gonna do in your spare time?????? *snicker*

Hang in there, there is a light at the end of the tunnel....SOMEWHERE...

I can totally relate. As if the normal day to day stuff isn't enough, Jdaddy happily signed up for a class that meets twice a week in May and June. I almost slugged him right then and there.

I'm so sorry. It has to get better.

DUDE!!! Breathe, girl! BREEEEATHE!!!!! Maybe you could get one of those beer helmet things and just fill full of coffee. Hands-free stimulants anyone?

Shannon said...

Yikes...that looks overwhelming...but can I say the desk calendar is a brilliant idea? My callendar is covered with scribbles of stuff all jammed in to little boxes with arrows poitning out to the stuff in the sidelines that didn't fit.
Hang in there and thank God for drive thru coffee stands :)

I kinda {almost} wish that my calender was a little more full...I feel so BORED!!! maybe I could be your assistant?! :)

I need one of those desk sized calendars...although I'm liking my calendar on my Droid. Spring break is next week and we still don't know what we're doing.

I feel your pain, sister. Actually, in my head that came out sista. During football season, I don't know if I'm coming or going. At least right now we only have swim, which is wrapping up, volleyball starting and horseback lessons. We require that all the kids take the summer off so we can chill out and relax. I'm really really ready for summer

I feel like that happens to us sometimes...it's like we're either go go go or at home bored. Nothing in moderation over here.

Kelli @ RTSM said...

March has been like that for us too! There is something going on almost every day of the whole month...and tball season started for us last week!

Oh my girl!!!! Praying for you!!! :) Wish I could send you a plane ticket too!!! LOL

I thought maybe you were in the flower of the month club or something. I hate to say it, but girl you are SO SCREWED.

Good luck with that. If you need to come to FL and take a break, you just head this way! :)

I know the feeling. Last week I just wanted to come up for air once. Didn't happen. This week is better but the scary doctors visit tomorrow throws every bit of relaxation out the window. Ugh.
Hope the boys schedules don't conflict too much. Been there.

My calendar looks much the same! I am praying for the month of March for you and your family!!!

For that reason... i am not a big fan of calendars. Hang in there!

I know the feelings very well!

oh yes - the calendar - the bane of my existence and the love of my life :)

Leiah said...

I remember those days. It will pass quick enough and then you'll be wondering what to do with all your free time. Sorry - I tried to say it with a straight face but it just didn't work. Hopefully you won't have ballpark nights with 2 games at the same time at different fields.

Aren't all moms supposed to have desk calendars hanging in their kitchen?

And I can't send you a plane ticket, but feel free to take a drive my way. We can watch the dust bunnies take over my house while sipping chardonnay :)

what do you mean that isn't your idea of an escape???

Rachel said...

I feel your pain - and YES, it is better to be busy than the alternative!

Love the flowers - that sure prettied up some crazy schedules :)

You're gonna miss this when the boys are grown. Then they'll bring the grandkids over to torture you some more...

Love ya - hang in there - and thanks for linking up.

I TOTALLY sympathize! Blech!!!

Mine looks like that too...or it would if I remembered to write things down half the time!

Sara @ Domestically Challenged said...

oh my dear friend- help!!! Good luck this month!! We'll hold you up if you need it!

Alyssa said...

This is so totally wrong of me; I know; forgive me, please? All I can think of is how pretty those flowers look! How creative you are to come up with that beautiful idea. It's lovely...refreshing...I don't know if I'd accomplish any of the activities if I were you...I'd just keep myself busy staring at the daisies...

Dan said...

I think you stole my calendar from April-May. It's already double booked on most days and I don't have any kids at home.

Enjoy the ball season.

Tina said...

Maybe you should add a massage or mani/pedi under one of those flowers!

I know the feeling.

Wow! That looks like my schedule. Say, I need to get me one of those life sized calendars.

Pam said...

Eeekk!!!

On the other hand, great photoshopping skills. Love the flowers. Too bad the real calendar doesn't look like this picture.

You'll make it!!!

Or not! Come to CA!!!

It is scary to see it ALL at one time on a calendar. My smartie pants hubby just signed our boys up for baseball then accidentally also signed them up for soccer. I am pretty sure there will be conflicting games/practices! He's sitting right next to me! I hope he doesn't look over!!

Shannon said...

ahhh.... the life of a mommy! :) isn't it just pure BLISS!@

You're gonna need some more flowers :)

How'd I miss this the first time around? I finally had a moment to check out all the posts linked up on this past week's True Story Tuesday, and realized I hadn't read yours.

That calendar has my head spinning for you! YOur multi-colored flowers reminded me of a system my mom had for the family calendar when I was growing up. Each family member had a certain color marker, to color-cooridinate our activites. And woe to the person who mistakenly wrote something on the calendar with the wrong color. That never went over well!

Kari @ p.s. love.love. said...

cool idea to remind you that you have something to do that day. Sorry, you have so many flowers up there - and your month isn't done being scheduled yet. ugh.
