Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles
Weekly therapy time courtesy of Kmama at The Daily Dribbles.

To the scale. We have a love/hate relationship. Right now I hate you. Very much. Let’s start loving each other again. Thank you very much.

scale

To Fibromyalgia. Now is not the time to cripple my body so that I can not stand up straight. Pain relievers need to work right now. Muscles need to function. I am trying to love my scale again. Thank you very much.

Fibromyalgia1

To Rocco. I will walk you to help aid in my weight loss. But for the love of all that is good and holy- do not pull me behind you. My pain wracked body cannot handle it. Thank you very much.

To my love of sugar, carbs, and processed food. Please, please, please start tasting repulsive. It is so hard to resist you and oh how I need to do just that- resist. Thank you very much.

junkfoodjunky

To swimsuit season. Can you please be kind to me during Spring Break? Spring Break is supposed to be a happy, let’s have fun time. Not a depressing, I am so fat and pasty white time. Thank you very much.

28 Validations To Make Me Feel Worthy:

I totally get the love/hate thing with the scale. I broke up with mine a few years ago because I think he was lying to me, because those numbers clearly did not match up with the ones that were living in my head.

When you walk your dog do you use a regular collar? I had a chronic arm-yanking dog once, and I bought him a harness, which saved my arm and kept him from choking himself. Maybe that would help?

How glad am I that it is never warm enough for swimsuits here during spring break? YIPEE!!

Hope you find some relief soon!

I could've almost written this entire post...except that I don't have a dog or fibromyalgia...but I do have unexercised muscles and old bones and an addition to carbs. Does that count?

Just get a digital scale and threaten to put its digits out to sleep with the fishes. That usually makes me feel better.

BTW, the solution for Rocco is a pair of roller blades (or skates if you are old fashioned.) Then you only hurt when you crash. {*grin*}

Don't even talk about swim suits. :( I hate those with a passion.

I am totally with you on the sugar and carbs!

I had to laugh at the Spring break Thank you very much. Ugh to the white pasty fat legs that will be dangling from my swim suit. YUCK:) LOL

here here!
I just started exercising again after a two year absence (being pregnant and nursing are good excuses). I hope I can get my butt in gear before swimsuit season!

I always have a love/hate thing going on with the scale and I am seriously dreading swimsuit season this year! HA! Great Thank you's by the way! Have a good day! :o)

I think I have had a hate relationship with the scale since I had my first kiddo! And don't you hate that as soon as you decide to start exercising your whole body starts hurting! I tried to start back waling last week and my feet were swollen for three days!

Michelle Hoad said...

You weren't supposed to remind me about bathing suit season. I'm still 20 pounds from my ideal weight and so pasty white I scare small children.

I'm sorry your fibro is acting up. that sucks.

I agree with Lona, try a harness if you aren't already using one.

My weightloss has been slow...but slow is good for me. I can keep it off easier if it's slower. However, this week has not been so good, food-wise. Ugh.

Thanks for linking up!

My relationship with the scale is total hate/hate. Oh, the carbs, and sugars, they will be the death of me.

I understand the pain you are in. I have MS and I am in tons of pain all the time as well. I am sorry. I wish they would figure out how to fix the pain we are in.

Swim suits... *shudder* For the past two summers I've crowbarred my body into my prepregnangy swimsuit. I, however, am not my prepregnangy weight/shape/size -- far from it. So I wind up wearing a tank top and soccer shorts over my suit to hide my pale and bloated manatee-like body.

I need to get a suit that actually fits. I need to start loving my pale and bloated manatee-like self. Manatees are cute...right?

Crystal @ Semi-Crunchy Mama said...

Err... "prepregnangy" = "pre-pregnancy." That'll teach me to hit submit before proofreading. Whoops...

Honey... meds for Rocco, fake-tan lotion for you, and throw out that scale.

Come over here and we'll go for some horseback rides and you'll find muscles you never knew existed. We'll be toned and fake-tanned before you know it :)

Sara @ Domestically Challenged said...

Wow! This could have been written by me!! Except the muscle pain thing...I am just lazy!

Blah to swimsuit season, but every time I go to the beach I see people WAY worse off than me. I mean, seriously... some people don't even look in the mirror before they go out. ;)

Sorry your feeling bad. Hope that fibro gives you a break.

I agree to all of this.

I wish junk food would taste gross. It would be SO helpful.

First of all, SO sorry about the fibromyalgia. I missed that somehow. That is an awful thing to suffer from.

Second, I love all your pictures with each "thank you very much." sometimes i get all "bloggy" like that, but it hasn't happened in a while, lol. but you have inspired me for tomorrow's letter!

shew, girl, you got too many flowers, and i hear ya on the pasty white body. I am dying to get one of those really good fake spray tans, but God only knows where I would have to go to get a really good one here in stixville, KY. LOL

Lisa said...

In case you missed what I put after you on my blog, this is it! lol

"Technically, Julie, I had only had half my meds, lol, and the guy was WITH me, not the check out person. That was a girl who didn't hear any of the "nekkid" conversation. Yeah. I am great at sticking my foot in my mouth like that. We had to travel a bit after that, and lets just say we kept cracking up! LOL"

You mean flabby, white legs and abs aren't sexy? Craaaap! Looks like I will be spending another summer indoors!

Mine has a been a total hate for so many years to the scale I would not know what to do if things changed! Great post.

If there was a pill that would make me hate sugar, I'd take it :)
