Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

It’s Thursday! Make sure to hop on over to Kmama’s at The Daily Dribbles and link up your own therapy for this week.

To the school calendar that made me think I picked up 3 days of subbing during standardized testing so that my days would be e.a.s.y. Turns out only one of those days applied to the high school. I’m going to work anyways, but I’m not happy about it. Thank you very much.

To the box of cell phones that were confiscated during testing. My how times have changed since I was in high school when cell phones didn’t even exist yet. I officially feel old. Thank you very much.

cell phonesBy the way- their phones are much cooler than these. Much cooler.

To my wardrobe that does not contain 3 consecutive days of work clothes. You are making my life difficult. Thank you very much.

To the TV in the playroom that has decided to stop working. My children are going through withdrawals. Thank you very much.

OMG, look at those phones!! LOL I remember when those were cool!

I hardly have enough work clothes to make it through the week and I work every day. I have no excuse.

Thanks for linking up!

I would be in so much trouble if I had to work more than 2 days in a row! I barely have enough nice clothes to wear something different to church every other week! I just don't see the point in having nice clothes when the kids are going to get snot, pee, and who knows what else all over you:)

Oh, the cell phones! I didn't have one until I was in my mid-20s.

cell phones ...just a pain in the hiney I tell you ...I am sick of all the cool kids like the 80 year old woman at wal mart tonight and the darned iPhones.... Gosh grandma what do you need the iPhone for... Also I feel you on the clothes if I had to get a job other than the boat store I would frantically be at the resale shops ...

LOL!

When I was in high school, it was cool to have a pager... You were hot stuff if you had one...

I didn't get a cell phone til I was in my 20's and it was one of the ones you have pictured... Amazing how far technology has come in 10 or so years.

Oh yeah, You made me feel old too so, Thank You Very Much! LOL

Wow...I remember when phones like the ones in that photo were the "cool" phones to have! When I was in high school, it was a big deal to have a pager, and I nagged and pleaded and begged my parents to let me have one (they finally relented, but not until shortly before I graduated!)

Ugh...work clothes. I've -- ahem -- outgrown my former work clothes. I either need to start shrinking, or start rebuilding my wardrobe from scratch when I eventually return to work.

Unfortunately many things today officially make me feel old. I so relate! We'd have withdrawal here, too, if the tv stopped working. And if I were working outside the home I'd wear only sweats...my current uniform...I don't remember the last time I bought/wore real clothes.

Yes, thank you so much for making me feel old as dirt as well.

Well... I don't work and I barely have 3 outfits that are decent enough to wear outside the house. I swear we go places and people recognize me only because I'm wearing the same thing I was wearing the last time they saw me.

Sorry about the TV. We changed our cable and lost a few channels that the boys were pretty upset about. There were at least 3 solid days of heavy withdrawals, but they got over it. Good luck with that. ;)

V about spit her tea out today when I told her we didn't have a TV- she said it was like I was from the village! :)

Oh yeah ... I was a teacher. There's nothing like being around of today's teenagers to make you feel like a geriatric. =) Hope you get your tv fixed! AND a few things added to wardrobe. If I had to go back to work right now, I'd have to go in pajamas!

I was going to say man those cell phones look like the crappy ones that we thought we SO COOL in my senior year of high school. Of course, only maybe 10% of the students had cell phone then where now it's probably close to 95%. My how things have changed.

Subbing on a test day? Even one is a SCORE! However, 3 would have been better. I can borrow, no give, you some of my work wardrobe. i am sick of it all anyhow!

Ok, I was about to say those looked like some pretty old phones! And seriously, kids today have it MADE!

I am only 25 and when I was in school only a few kids had a cell phone.

I am sure not ready for teenagers and cell phones! Lily has already started begging. I think she is going to be VERY disappointed!!

due to the recent expansion of my waistline, I don't have three days worth of clothes. Period.

I got my first cell phone when I left for college & it was mounted in the car! Now my 8-year-old wants one!

Cell phones? We didn't even have pagers when I was in high school - that makes me feel old!

Girl, I feel you on the work clothes thing. I had the same class (Ag, of course) all last week and I have them all the week after Spring Break. I cried twice in one morning because my clothes and shoes are still being held hostage by the bad man and I have nothing. Nothing way cute, anyway. I hate him.
