Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

I am linking up today for my weekly therapy at The Daily Dribbles. Once you laugh uproariously at my misfortune make sure to clickity click on over to Kmama's and link up for your own free therapy.

To the hot water heater who decided that I did not need a hot shower when I was suffering from a stress headache. Thank you very much.

To the water pressure that decided it would not blow with its usual force while the hot water was taking a hiatus and forcing me to stand in the cold water for a cruel amount of time. Thank you very much.

To the son *cough cough Nathan cough* who decided he needed to take an extra long shower at night when he normally showers in the morning and rendering the hot water heater depleted of its resources. Thank you very much.

To my bank account that just won't cut me a break. Thank you very much.

To the battery on my laptop that won't hold its charge. You aggravate me way too much. Thank you very much.

To the weeds in my yard that don't ever die even when the grass goes dormant and make my yard need attending to in the winter time when I am supposed to have a break from it. Thank you very much.

To Chris who decided to "help" me with the laundry and washed and dried one of my sweaters for work and in turn shrunk it beyond repair. I have sooo many "work" clothes since I've been a SAHM for the last 8 years. Thank you very much.

Oh man. Sounds like another banner week for you too!! I HATE when my clothes get ruined. I work on a daily basis and I still don't have that many work clothes!

Thanks for linking up!

My husband is not allowed to touch my laundry.

EVER.

I think maybe your husband owes you a little shopping trip. If your bank account starts cooperating, of course.

I have threatened divorce if Daddy Bub touches the laundry. Okay, well, I haven't... but he's been warned more than once that he is NEVER to do laundry!!!

Sounds like you have been having a rough week! I hope it get better for you...and you manage to get a hot shower at some point too:)

Sorry your sweater got shrunk...not that I can say much about that! :)
And hope your headache went away...they are the worst!

Sounds like one of my weeks

How fun! I so hate when my sweaters shrink. At least we can really say it was the dryer and not ourselves getting bigger!

Your day sounds like mine so far. I'm tempted to write a letter to that Alexander boy and tell him his no good, very bad day was nothing compared to what I've got. Thanks for reminding me that I needed to link up today. Oh, I posted Part II to the Soup saga btw.

We need to have a sign that says "No Husbands Allowed" hanging in the laundry room! We better start marketing these ASAP… I bet we could help the bank accounts. ;)

I swear all my shirts keep getting smaller. I want to blame it on my husband's laundering skills, but I am having the same problem with my pants too.

The shower thing drives me crazy. Can you say 75 GALLON TANKLESS HEATER in our next house?

And umm... I don't have many work clothes either and goshdarnit they keep shrinking. At least you have your husband to blame for yours!

Have a great Thursday!

Ah yes. The good old "help" situation. While I often wish my OH would help more with the housework, I know realistically that unless he does it The Right Way (ie My Way), it will just annoy me. And don't get me started on the kids "helping" with dinner.

Oh man! Our darn bank account doesn't cut us a break either :( Hope next week is better . . .

I would be so grumpy about the shower!

And the work clothes- I have like 2 "nice" sweaters, so I would be pissed.

I must have a hot shower to function properly!

I am so with you on the shower thing. I need it so hot or else. Had to laugh about the sweater, I have so done that to my husbands clothes more times than I can count. oops.

Does any laptop battery last more than 1/2 hour????? Ouch on the shrunken sweater. Annoying!

I would be so mad if my lap top died all the time!

I do not let anyone touch my laundry! And I just keep my laptop plugged in most of the time because it only lasts about an hour too. What is the deal with such poor batteries on all of the laptops?

Ugh, sorry.

I hate when the shower runs out of hot water.

Ironically, I was filling up the bathtub for my daughter when I pulled up this post. She kept saying "cooool, coooool" (she's 2). Her older brother took all of the hot water in his bath (upstairs). Nice. Maybe it was his bath and the washing machine? Either way, ugh- cold water is not fun to wash in.

NOTHING ruins my day more than an un-properly (is that a word?) heated shower. My husband lives in fear of waking up late and not giving the water heater sufficient time to re-heat the water!

Corrie Howe said...

Laughing at your expense...sorry. I bet being able to Thank everyone really helps!

Having no hot water is a CRIME!!!
