It's already the 3rd week of December, can you believe it? I am linking up with Liz again at Sugarplum Creations and sharing what our activities were for the week. In case you missed them, here are Week 1 and Week 2.
(As always, click on pictures to enlarge)
Day 12
Day 13On Sunday we went to a bowling party for the scouts. I knew about this well in advance and planned it as a sock activity.
Day 14On Monday I took the boys to go pick out gifts for their teachers and their book exchange parties. They also wrapped the presents and signed their name in cards. Wrapping presents (well actually a bow on a present) was another scout achievement for Jakob.
Day 15Tuesday was the infamous socks in a sock. I don't know why the boys love this so much, but they really do. They tried their Bakugan socks on immediately. By the way- I bought these at Kohl's on sale. Both pairs were $1.65 total. You can't beat that with a stick! (No my kids did not wear the same clothes two days in a row. We had to postpone the actual wrapping of the presents due to time constraints.)
Day 16On Wednesday we put more of the puzzle together. I had pictures of this, but I accidentally deleted them when I was preparing for Nolan's Christmas performance at school. So this picture is a repeat, but I wanted to stay consistent with my posts so I am reposting this picture.
Day 17
On Thursday we made can stilts. This is another scout activity that the boys thought sounded like a great idea. However, when they realized how hard it is to walk on cans they weren't so thrilled with it.

Day 18
On Friday we drove around and looked at Christmas lights. These pictures are of my house because I wasn't patient enough to wait to take pictures when we were actually driving around. And lights do not make for crisp, clear photos. At least not with my point and shoot.

Liz is not doing a MckLinky next week since Christmas falls on Friday. But I am an extra-credit kind of person and will be posting the rest of the month's activities. (It just doesn't feel complete otherwise!)

15 Validations To Make Me Feel Worthy:
You have really done some fabulous things with your boys this holiday season!
Wow, Julie, another great week! I love that community center outing. How cool is that??? I know, I am not feeling like the month is complete without a conclusion, but I know things are going to get even more hectic this coming week. Can't wait to see the rest of you plans. I'll probably post updates anyway ;)
You're a good mom.
{the silence you hear is me comparing myself to you}
I suck.
What great activities. I'm terrible about doing fun stuff with my kids. Good thing they don't expect too much (how terrible is that??)
Love the weeks activities. Great job. Bowling is so fun and socks in socks is a great idea. Couldn't have done better with the price even at the dollar tree. Great!
Well done! Socks in a sock ~ love it! My boys would have been excited too. Socks (and underwear) really thrill them. Go figure. ;)
You are such an awesome mommy. And your lights look great!
Your little men are so adorable! Almost makes me yearn for a boy (ALMOST! Besides I'd put a million down that we end up with another girl.) Love the pix, especially the one of the boys at the bowling alley.
looks like so much fun!
You've been planning such fun activites for your boys. What wonderful memories you're making together!
I am doing this next year to get ourselves in the Christmas spirit. YOu are amazing at this!
What a great week that sounds. Next year (when I'm not stressing and packing for a 5 week trip to Australia...we leave snowy England on Christmas Eve...aaarrrggghhh!!) I'm definitely pinching your idea to get Chick and I into the festive spirit. Enjoy this week's activities!!!!
Those socks rock. And so does Kohls. Don't they have amazing deals?
Bowling is so much fun! We drove around and looked at Christmas lights this week too....my boys decided to count the houses with lights and got bored with it around 60! That was fun!?!
I completely admire you for doing something everyday! I really should do this next year. It would hold me accountable to getting things done. LOVE the stilts. Brings back memories.
