Thank You Very Much

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this today. A very dear friend of mine is in ICU with intracranial bleeding. The exact diagnosis has not been nailed down at this point, but bleeding in the brain usually has 1 of 2 outcomes. She is married with an 8 year old son and 4 year old triplet girls. If you feel led, your prayers are coveted.

The Daily Dribbles

To the gas station that put out a huge sign with the cost of gas IF I purchased a car wash and tricked me into paying 10 cents more/gallon then I thought I would without the car wash. Thank you very much.

To the lady at the garage sale who spoke very broken English and thought I wanted to give away my crap treasures for free. Thank you very much.

To all the parents at the birthday party who claimed all the hot dogs for their own children which were specifically made for Jakob and denying him dinner because of it. Thank you very much.

To Brian who has forced me to clean my kitchen, bathrooms, and make sure the laundry is contained to one room for fear that there will be a house fire and the firemen will judge me by the condition of my home. Thank you very much.

Be sure to hop on over to Kmama's to read more Thank You Very Much posts.

20 Validations To Make Me Feel Worthy:

The dishonest and tricky gas station should be reported to the state attorney general's office of consumer fraud - oh wait, you live in Texas where there is no fraud and all is legal. {*grin/2*}

The selfish parents might need a little education or else a visit from Bubba and his lead pipe. The reinforcement does wonders.

We always seem to get the broken english people at our yard sales too...maybe it's a conspiracy. Hehe.
I am sorry about your friend. Of course I will pray for her and her family.

Ahh - I whined about a gas station advertising cheap prices, then you get to the pump and it says that the cheap price only applies to cash payments... I was peeved. The practice was discontinued immediately :) So either I'm really impressive, or I have fantastic timing and a superhero complex :)

Sorry about your friend... keep us posted. Praying...

So sorry about your friend! Doing some serious praying for them tonight!
Those are some really crappy thank yous! What is up? Someone ate ALL of Jakob's hot dogs and he didn't get dinner. Come on people!
Gas and their stations suck! I beg my husband to fill up my car so i don't have to have anything to do with them!

Damn that Brian. :P I read that too. I keep my house pretty clean, but it made me think that I really needed to give my car some attention. Ya know, they probably think the same thing when they show up at the scene of a car accident and your crap is strewn from one side of the street to the other. Well, I cleaned my car out.

So very sorry to hear about your friend. She will be in my prayers.

I clicked over to Brian's blog...that post is hilarious! It really makes me want to get a cleaning lady even more. You know, just in case my house catches on fire!

I'm so sorry about your friend. Please update if you can.

Seriously? All of Jakob's hot dogs were stolen by party-goers? That's not cool...not cool at all!!

Prayers for your friend.

Only one comment about crazy yard-salers? Must have gone pretty well, then!

prayers are being said. I am so sorry these bad things happened to you although I am married to a fireman and the path ways being clear is nice for them to find people or fight the fire.. so he could be a bit right on that one just a bit. but you don't have to tell him

So sorry to hear about your friend. Keeping her in my thoughts.

Birthday party parents can be nuts and exactly why I have convinced my kids that we should just do something extra special with the family and forgo the parties!

So sorry to hear about your friend. My family will be praying for all involved.

On an up note, don't you know to save at least ONE good plate before you serve everyone yet? I mean, come on, you know how parents act at parties! lol

I hate the gas thing too.

I will have to go read Brian's post, then I will probably freak out at all the fire hazards around our house. Hmmmm. Maybe I won't read it.

Happy Thursday (Night!)

Did you know that after you have a yard sale and pack everything up to take to charity, if you don't take it, it will disappear all on its own? No "May I take this" or "Do you mind if I buy" that. Just leave it out, unattended for one hour.

You had a week. Hope next one is better.
